I use my words so that you don’t have to
Said another way: I’m a (freelance) writer
About my words
I write words that people want to read, that gets a point across, that says what you want to say.
With a thirteen-year career in tech, product, and CX, I know how to break down big ideas in a way that resonates with Customers. Users. People. Humans. Whatever.
I write long-form articles, essays, and think pieces that sometimes make people* laugh, as well as shorter-form copy that effectively communicates what needs to be communicated.
*I know for a fact they make my mom laugh. I have a hunch others laugh too.
The words I write
Essays and Articles
Essays, blog posts, and other long-form content that gets a point across.
I can pitch you ideas or you can commission me for something specific. Or whatever else you need—as long as it involves writing and not, like, spreadsheets or coding.
Website and Social Writing
Corporate and brand copy for websites, brand messaging, social platforms, and content strategy that doesn’t feel corporate (or does—your call).
I write for your website, social media captions, digital campaigns, proactive social comments from you (or your brand), and anywhere else your voice needs to show up.
Technical Content
Help docs, knowledge base articles, blog posts, and explainers that translate technical ideas into accessible, useful, and most importantly, helpful content.
Great for product teams, developer tools, and anyone who knows what a Jira ticket is (even if they wish they didn’t).
In-App and UX Copy
In-app copy that feels seamless and help shape the product experience.
Think: tooltips, button text, push notifications, onboarding flows, and other app copy you probably forgot you needed to write.
About me
Hi, I’m Julie
I’m a writer and product person who enjoys overanalyzing a menu every time I go out to eat.
I enjoy good food, good company, and a good true crime podcast—I prefer scammers and fraudsters over murders.
I’ve been brainwashed to think that the beaches on Long Island are some of the most beautiful in the world and I let the New York Mets test my loyalty and resilience year after year.
I live in Brooklyn with my husband, toddler, and cats, Maude and Mathilda.
